Day 31/365: January's Best in Show

Yet another picture on the backroads. I feel this is the perfect picture to end the month of January on because it happens to be my favorite picture of this month. I hope that everyone has enjoyed the first month of our Project 365 as much as I have.

Things I have learned:
  1. Bokeh is king!
  2. I love nature and wildlife and will pursue more of this type of photography.
  3. I can not post every night and will instead post once or twice during the week.
  4. I can't take night photos and need lots of practice and advice on this subject.
  5. Not every picture is perfect!
  6. I love hand-painting/select colorization.
  7. Inspiration is everywhere so this Project 365 will be a breeze.
  8. Blah, blah, blah...*just checking to see if you guys were reading :)
  9. FEBRUARY HERE WE COME!!
What I love about this photograph: How the trees are lined up so perfectly and complement the fence.
Technical Stuff: Nikon D40; 38.0mm; 1/200s; f/7.1; ISO 200

I really love this. The mood is just wonderful, and you've done a great job with the composition.

You're right... inspiration IS everywhere! Why do I have such a hard time some days? Beauty is everywhere. :) And I can't take night shots either. I've stopped trying. Maybe that's something I should work on during this project.

I like your photography (and the subtitle of your blog). I had fun reading your posts on your other blog (about your kids). I learned a lot of new English (Well, American rather) words in your description." You are very funny. Thank you very much for visiting my blog.

you are right sister, Bokeh is KinG! lol. i wanted to get back with you on the blurb book, the quality really can't be beat, i have used other companies, and i think it would be great for weddings...you can go to their site and look at some books made by others...there is sure to be some weddings -www.blurb.com.

blah, blah, blah! I was reading!
I really like the composition on this one - the way the trees line up along the fence is very nice.
I can't do night shots either. It's so frustrating! A few nights ago, the moon was so bright is was casting shadows on the snow, but my picture were all dark and grainy.

Blah, blah, blah, yup I was still reading! lol
I love your honesty, I too need lots of advice on night photos, and day photos, and morning photos... heck I need immense help with all my photos! I have a book Rebel XSi for Dummies, I really need to read that but don't have the time right now... in the meantime, having some fun and your photo today is wonderful!

All I can say is wow. All your recent black and white backroad shots are fantastic. I would frame many of them.

night photos - get a tripod or place the camera on something for longer exposures. use the timer so you are not shaking the camera when you press the shutter release
